Fancy helping us to unleash over 1000 years of excitement, discovery, and jaw-dropping unique experiences for our guests? Join the Attractions and Events team as a Costume & Scenic Assistant and start your greatest adventure!
In this role, you will be responsible for constructing costume and small prop items for our upcoming shows and seasonal events, while maintaining and repairing existing pieces. You will work closely with the design team, following projects from start to finish, and ensuring that all designs are coherent and meet production standards.
Adherence to production budgets set by line managers and a commitment to safe working practices when using equipment are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute creatively to our immersive visitor experiences.
This is a seasonal contract. Flexibility is needed as shifts will include weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in garment construction.
* Experience in machine sewing and hand sewing techniques.
* Experience with other areas of costume, such as millinery, desirable.
* Experience with foam and leather desirable.
* Passionate about the business and this field of work.
* Able to work well as part of a team and independently.
* Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
