Key Accountabilities
* European IDV Architecture
* Lead the design and implementation of European Identity Verification IDV solutions incorporating regional regulatory expectations and cross jurisdictional onboarding requirements
* Define consistent IDV patterns APIs and service integrations that support both clients initiated and administrator-initiated verification processes for corporate entities and signatories
* Ensure architectures support real time verification digital document validation identity matching and secure consent capture
* Client Admin Initiated Self Service IDV Journeys
* Architect intuitive secure IDV experiences enabling corporate administrators to initiate track and manage identity verification for employees’ signatories mandate holders and authorised users
* Design flexible workflows that support both self-service and admin driven IDV journeys with full audit traceability approval rules and exception handling
* Integrated Fin Crime IDV Capabilities
* Define end to end solutions for embedding Financial Crime IDV controls within corporate payment flows including sanctions checks KYCKYB validation AML triggers and fraud detection
* Integrate with enterprise Fin Crime systems and external data providers to ensure robust identity validation and risk scoring prior to payment execution or entitlement assignment
* Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and operational policies across all jurisdictions
* Payments API Architecture Leadership
* Lead solution design for payments APIs entitlements mandates account structures and cross border payment journeys that rely on identity assurance
* Ensure IDV components integrate securely and seamlessly with payment initiation approval workflows mandate management and access management systems
* Drive standardisation of API design principles reusable patterns authentication models and best practices Solution Delivery Governance
* Produce high quality solution architecture artefacts API specifications sequence diagrams security models integration maps and domain models
* Engage stakeholders across Payments Fin Crime Operations Compliance and Technology to align on requirements and validate end to end solution design
* Present solutions to architecture boards and steer governance discussions regarding risks dependencies and strategic alignment
* Work closely with delivery leads to decompose architecture into sprint ready deliverables and ensure technical teams implement solutions according to design intent
* Provide oversight of build activities reviewing code and low-level designs for architectural fidelity
Your Skills
* Proven experience designing Corporate Payments platforms and related API ecosystems
* Strong knowledge of Identity Verification IDV processes across European markets including digital identity standards and regulatory requirements
* Experience architecting Fin Crime KYCKYB sanctions screening fraud checks or similar controlled workflows
* Deep expertise in REST API design Swagger Open API security models and authentication authorization frameworks
* Hands on familiarity with large scale microservices architectures using Java Spring Boot or similar technologies
* Experience with API management platforms e.g. MuleSoft Apigee Kong AWS API Gateway
