About the Role
Location: AO Manchester Arena
The role will support the management of the cleaning operation for a major contract, ensuring high quality and professional services are delivered within budget and comply with Health and Safety legislation, contract specifications, and company policies. The Cleaning Supervisor will lead a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Responsibilities include recruitment, induction and training of employees, including high volumes of casual workers, to meet stringent service delivery levels for each client.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the cleaning operations at the busy venue, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Support the coordination of all activities related to the AO Arena Manchester Cleaning Contract.
* Communicate regularly with colleagues through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure a free flow of ideas and high morale.
* Reflect a positive safety image through own actions and those of teammates.
* Develop an excellent relationship with client representatives.
Key Hiring Criteria
* Experience supervising large teams in a facilities environment.
* Experience working within cleaning teams on large or busy sites or contracts.
* Self‑starter with a strong work ethic.
* Willingness and enthusiasm to work flexible times in an event arena environment.
* Energetic, able to work independently, with good time management.
* Strong communication skills.
