Overview
Community Integrated Care is recruiting to expand our current team of Support Workers. As a Care Assistant, your role will be to support individuals with their own homes. We support 2 individuals with learning disabilities who live in their own home. The people we support are active in their local community, enjoying a range of different activities, so we are looking for people who are fun, active and enjoy supporting others to live the best lives possible. We are recruiting for a relief position. Shift patterns are from 8am - 3pm / 3pm - 10pm, Monday - Sunday including Sleepovers. We may require staff who drive as we have a mobility car at the service.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals with their own homes and help them live the best lives possible.
* Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making a meaningful impact on their lives.
* Follow service and person-centred care plans, promoting choice, dignity and respect.
* Participate in activities with the people you support and help them engage with their local community.
* Work within shift patterns and be flexible to cover 8am-3pm, 3pm-10pm and sleepovers as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Desire to work in social care with a values-driven approach; prior professional experience is not mandatory.
* Patience, empathy, reliability, honesty, and a strong work ethic.
* Ability to be a problem solver and demonstrate resilience.
* Willingness to work with individuals with learning disabilities and to support them in the community.
