Mobile Remedial Electrician (Commercial / Industrial Property Maintenance)
Salary: Up to £40k Basic + Overtime and Shift Allowance + Fully Expensed Company Van + Benefits
Location: Croydon, Sutton, London (Regional coverage 50 Miles Radius)
Hours: Various (premium rates paid for unsocial hours)
Our client is one of the largest companies in the UK, providing specialist electrical testing services to occupied premises. Whether it's a school, hospital, office block, retail unit, or industrial unit, their job is to ensure all fixed wiring, switchgear, or control equipment meet regulations and are safe to use.
Following a visit by one of their Test & Inspection Engineers, Electricians are tasked with completing necessary upgrades or repairs. The role offers variety, from replacing a breaker to upgrading switches in large industrial units. Each day requires adaptability and quick thinking.
The team of field electricians are essential, the unsung heroes and the face of the company.
This is a permanent position.

The role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to support our Maintenance and Repairs team in Uxbridge and surrounding areas. Work is planned in advance and coordinated via our Operations Planning team based at Head Office in West Yorkshire. You will work with a dedicated works coordinator who will support you through regular communication and liaising with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct electrical remedial works in commercial and industrial environments.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.
* Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance technical skills.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience
* City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) in Inspection and Testing
* 18th Edition
* Knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards
* Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Valid UK driving license (or equivalent)
