Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of an independently run tea room and restaurant based in Radlett, Hertfordshire. Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team, working with fresh, seasonal ingredients to deliver high-quality dishes in a relaxed but professional dining environment.
This is a great opportunity for a chef who takes pride in consistent food preparation, enjoys a busy service, and wants to develop within a supportive, hands-on kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present dishes to a consistent, high standard
* Run your own section efficiently during service
* Work with fresh, seasonal ingredients across a varied menu
* Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
* Maintain excellent food hygiene, health, and safety standards
* Assist with prep, stock control, and kitchen organisation
* Support junior team members where required
About You
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
* Experience in fresh food kitchens (restaurant, café, or gastro-style preferred)
* Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen standards
* Calm, organised, and able to work well under pressure
* Passionate about fresh, well-presented food
* A positive team player with a good work ethic
