Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and experience working with children, as well as the ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. This role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to ensuring the well-being of those in your care.
Duties
* Lead the shift on a rota basis, delegating daily tasks to residential care workers.
* Provide personal care and support to children and young people in their home environment.
* Assist with daily living activities and meal preparation.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans based on the specific needs of each child or young person.
* Maintain clear and accurate records of care provided, including progress notes and any changes in condition.
* Communicate effectively with children and young people, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive young people to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Utilise IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and maintaining client records.
* Provide supervision of staff.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children is essential.
* Level 3 qualification in children and young people or equivalent.
* A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients.
* Strong background in childcare practices and principles.
* Ability to create and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and families.
* Proficiency in IT applications for documentation and communication purposes.
