About the Role:
As a Maths ECT, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire a love for mathematics and promote critical thinking. The school is committed to supporting Early Career Teachers with a structured induction programme, experienced mentors, and regular opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver well-structured and challenging Maths lessons across the appropriate key stages.
* Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.
* Assess, track, and report on student progress, identifying areas for intervention where necessary.
* Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider staff team to contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement.
* Demonstrate a reflective approach to teaching and a willingness to embrace feedback and training.
Job Requirements:
* A recognised teaching qualification with QTS (or ECT) specialising in Mathematics.
* Relevant teaching experience or placement in a Maths classroom setting.
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate mathematical concepts clearly.
* Effective classroom management and an ability to motivate and support all learners.
* A genuine passion for teaching Maths and a commitment to developing as an educator.
* A current Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
