Here at RS, we are looking to recruit & grow the future of our business and one way is through apprenticeships. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join the Facilities Team as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Apprentice.
Our business is dependent on the smooth running of our facilities. You will play a pivotal role in the team supporting with the repair and maintenance of our machinery.
For the next 4 years, you will work closely with the college and your teams to learn and demonstrate your effectiveness in this role. Please note that the first year is full time at college in Coventry and you can decide whether to stay in the funded, student accommodation opposite the college for the year or travel costs will be provided if you prefer to drive each day. The 2nd year onwards is based in Corby with some travel to Coventry.

You will start by completing the Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, specifically the Mechatronic Maintenance Technician pathway, found here:
This is higher level apprenticeship, equivalent to A levels and will set you up for a career in Maintenance Engineering.
Main Duties
You will spend your apprenticeship learning and applying the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to do the following:
1. Reading and understanding wiring diagrams
2. Carrying out electrical testing
3. Fault finding
4. Working efficiently to manufacturing time scales
5. Working to electrical engineering drawings
6. Using of hand-held tools
7. Always conforming to health & safety practices
8. Produce workplace assessment training plans
9. Attend lectures, practicals and visits as per your learning Plan
10. Wiring and Testing Programmable Controller Based Systems
11. Wiring and Testing Electrical Equipment and Circuits
12. Maintaining Electrical Equipment/Systems
13. Maintaining Mechanical Devices and Equipment
14. Maintaining Fluid Power Systems
15. Producing Components using Hand Fitting Techniques

We are offering a £15,642 salary for year one, with annual increases plus company benefits & 22 days paid holiday
