We are working with a local engineering firm based in the Lissue industrial estate in Lisburn to recruit for their new Quality Technician / Engineer. Based at their site and working 7-4 Monday to Thursday and 1pm Friday finishes Reporting into management you will; Quality Assurance: Ensure all metal products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements Inspection & Testing: Examine raw materials, in-process items, and finished products for defects or deviations Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of inspections, tests, and non-conformances Compliance Monitoring: Verify adherence to internal quality procedures and external industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM) Continuous Improvement Support: Collaborate with production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce defects What we are looking for Knowledge of metal properties and manufacturing processes (casting, forging, machining, welding) Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement instruments Understanding of quality standards (ISO, ASTM, ANSI, etc.) Attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to document and communicate findings clearly Skills: quality quality assurance quality control
