Queensland Bakery is a growing and ambitious bakery business, producing high-quality products for a range of businesses within the healthcare, travel and out of home sectors across the UK. The business has evolved significantly over the last 18 months, with a growing focus on helping to close the gap in patient nutrition within Healthcare, via the creation of a range of dietitian and clinician-approved products under the new Marybake Health brand.
To support our growth plans, we are looking for a hands-on, proactive Marketing Manager to join our team in Andover. This new role is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety and autonomy in their marketing, and can make things happen by taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
A strong requirement for this role is to understand the data behind marketing. We are a growing business and do not have an endless budget. We need to understand the data behind our marketing and the ROI behind what were doing.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
As Marketing Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of marketing activities, implementing the annual calendar, ensuring campaigns are executed effectively and deliver measurable impact. Core areas of responsibility include:
Email Marketing
* Manage and deliver regular segmented customer and prospect email campaigns to contacts in our Healthcare, Travel and OOH sectors
* Monitor and report on KPIs, making refinements for email optimisation
Event Management
* Plan, organise, and deliver events with a focus on events in Healthcare targeting engagement with Catering Managers, Dietitians and Clinicians
* Manage event logistics, liaise with suppliers, and ensure strong brand representation at events
* Monitor and report to the business on agreed performance metrics
Content Creation
* Write and develop engaging content including customer case studies and articles
* Collaborate with internal teams to source and subsequently create content that supports both sales and brand building
Asset & Collateral Management
* Oversee the stock of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and samples
* Brief external designers and agencies, review artwork, and manage the production of new collateral
* Work with the NPD team to get new product samples and information to implement product launch campaigns
* Video / photography; organise product shoots and video content to support our growth in Healthcare
General Marketing Support
* Management of the company LinkedIn page, creating content and posting regularly
* Support wider brand-building initiatives
* Contribute ideas to drive awareness, improved marketing KPIs and growth
* Compile market sector insights & trends to inform NPD planning
* Provide updates and insights to senior management
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a hands-on, generalist marketing role, ideally within an SME sized business
* Experience of managing email marketing, including reporting and analysis
* Confident in the use of Mailchimp, Hubspot, Canva
* Strong writing and communication skills for content creation
* Able to quickly get under the skin of the Healthcare sector, to understand the challenges and opportunities for the Marybake Health brand
* Confidence in briefing and managing external agencies e.g. designers, printers
* Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
* Strong project management skills – able to juggle multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
* Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of projects
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience within B2B product marketing
* Experience in event planning and management
* Experience working with sales teams to align marketing collateral and events content with commercial needs. Working with NPD teams on product launches, samples etc
