An established and friendly law firm in Wymondham is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support its Private Client department. This role is ideal for a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail and experience in private client matters, including wills, probate, and estate administration.
Responsibilities
* Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Private Client fee earners
* Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, wills, and legal forms
* Managing client files from opening to closure, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Handling client enquiries professionally, both in person and via telephone/email
* Liaising with clients, HMRC, financial institutions, and third parties
* Diary management, arranging appointments, and managing key deadlines
* Preparing probate and estate administration documentation
* General office administration, including billing support and file archiving
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Private Client
* Strong typing and document production skills
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Confident communication skills with a professional and empathetic manner
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management systems desirable
