Were currently recruitingup to three experienced HGV Class 1 driversto support a busy logistics operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking for consistent work with competitive pay and varied routes.
??Role Overview:
* Work Type:Store deliveries, collections, and trunking
* Trailer Types:Primarilydouble-deck box trailers(no curtain siders)
* Load Types:Totes, pallets, cages, loose bags not just cages & pallets
* Manual Handling:Yes includes tipping trailers, moving stock, and salvage returns. Some routes are lighter, but most involve physical work.
* Shift Length:Typically1013 hours, but we aim to average out the week
* Minimum Payable Hours:8 hours per shift (unpaid breaks)
??Pay Rates:
Base Rate

£18.90/hr

£20.62/hr
??Working Pattern:
* Average48-hour weekover a 17-week period
* Overtime paid on6th shift or weekends
?Requirements:
* ValidHGV Class 1 licence, CPC, and Digi Tacho
* 2 years experience preferred(especially due to tight store access and narrow roads)
* New passes consideredon a case-by-case basis
??Assessment & Induction:
* Assessment required(unpaid)
* If successful:
o 3-day inductionfor previous DHL drivers
o 5-day inductionfor new drivers
* Assessments are conducted on double-deck trailers
?? Fleet & Equipment:
* Fleet:(56 Volvos, 13 Mercedes)
* Trailer Type:Box trailers with tail-lift
* PPE:Standard issue; gloves and bump hats provided if needed
?? Route Details:
* Up to3 store deliveries or collectionsper day
* Trunking routes toLeicester and Carlisle
* Over40 different routesdaily
