Right Now Group are working with a leading freight forwarder seeking a Transport Manager. This role is pivotal in managing a team of planners and drivers, and ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Shift: 4 on 4 OFF 18:00-06:00
Key Duties:
* Manage a team of planners and drivers, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
* Serve as the first point of contact for customers and main hauliers
* Maintaining strong communication and relationships.
* Oversee all aspects of transport operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and company safety standards,
* Lead, motivate, and develop planning teams
* Drive operational efficiency by managing staff planning, setting clear objectives, and meeting key performance indicators
* Propose and implement operational changes to enhance performance and improve efficiency.
* Ensure ongoing development and training within the team
Desirable:
* Minimum of 5 years within Transport/Freight
* Proven ability to lead and develop teams
* A confident and professional communicator, skilled at building relationships at all levels.
