Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, ensuring delivery of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and compliance work
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear and practical financial advice
* Review statutory accounts and tax computations prepared by junior staff
* Oversee management accounts and client reporting, adding value through insight and analysis
* Support clients with tax planning, VAT, audits, and general business advice
* Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations
* Mentor and support junior team members
* Keep up to date with changes in legislation and advise clients accordingly
Qualifications
* ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Strong experience within an accountancy practice
* Proven experience managing client relationships
* Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and tax legislation
* Experience reviewing work and supporting junior staff
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Proactive and commercially aware mindset
* Experience with TaxCalc and Xero (desirable)
* Audit experience or RI status, or working towards it (desirable)
* Experience working with SMEs (desirable)
