ARNE is a direct to consumer, apparel and footwear brand/retailer based in Birchwood Park near Warrington, UK. We design and develop our products in the UK, manufacture in the near & far east and then ship directly to our customers, with ARNECLO.com ecommerce store as our only sales channel.

We are looking for a Night Shift Team Manager to lead our newly formed night shift pattern within our Operations Department. Reporting to our Assistant Warehouse Manager, this role will be responsible in owning the entire night operation. With little daily input from our Senior Warehouse Management Team, you’ll need to be confident in independently handling daily challenges with little supervision, with the ability make commercially minded decisions which keep our Customer at the very centre. You will be a natural leader, capable of getting the best out of your Team to drive the best possible outcomes across the operation.
* Own the entire Night Shift Operation (whilst often in the absence of the Senior Warehouse Management Team), to ensure the effective delivery of;
* Picking and packing Customer orders, inline the business SLA’s.
* Customer returns processing.
* Inbound stock and replenishment activities.
* All stock control processes and procedures.
* Health & Safety Management and development.
* Be the first point of contact to appropriately handle challenges arising out of hours (i.e. people, health and safety, systems, facilities etc) – partnering with stakeholders as and when required.
* Lead and develop the Night Shift Leader’s to engage Colleagues and drive excellent Customer service.
* Provide accurate updates/handovers to the Senior Warehouse Management Team to ensure a smooth transition across all shift patterns.
* Work with the Assistant Warehouse Manager to ensure the operational spend is kept within budgeted spend with Colleagues in the right place, at the right time.
* Prepare and maintain weekly Team rotas as well as a staffing plan ensuring properly trained cover for holidays, sickness, and absence and according to workload.
* Challenge Night Time Shift Leaders on their Team’s productivity, performance and agreed KPIs to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
* Take responsibility for all Health & Safety compliance throughout the Night Shift, ensuring relevant processes and actions are completely accurately, and timely – with escalation to the appropriate stake holder as required.
* Be able to confidently manage all areas of People Management for your Team, including;
* Ensuring all Colleagues are representing ARNE values and behaviours.
* Ensuring clear, constructive feedback is provided to Colleagues in a timely manner.
* Ensuring absences are followed up through return to work meetings – working with the People Team to resolve any concerns.
* Reviewing absence requests in line with operational requirements.
* Managing conduct and/or capability concerns in line with ARNE’s policy and
* Oversee agency worker inductions and onboarding as required.
* Continuously review existing processes, providing input on continual improvements which increase capacity and improve efficiency – and driving this through with the Night Time Shift Leads.
* Any other ad hoc duties as required.
Essential Experience & Skills.
* Previous experience in a Warehouse Management role essential.
* Demonstrable experience in handling Health and Safety within a Warehouse environment.
* Previous experiencing with partnering with HR Team to handle complex employee relations preferable.
* The ability to multi-task and prioritise your own and your teams' workload effectively.
* Able to build strong relationships with Stakeholders and the ability to communicate effectively.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
* Use your initiative to solve problems unaided.
* Team working skills and the ability to lead and motivate others.
* Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
* Experience in Warehouse Management Systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.

* Working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern rotation, between the hours of 6pm and 7.30am, this involves weekend work.
