Job Title: Housing Officer\nLocation: South Wales\nSalary: £27,260-£42,280\nHours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week 8.30am-5pm\nContract Type: Permanent\nPurpose of the Role:\nThe Housing Officer supports and manages Service Users within an allocated area, ensuring their well-being and the effective management of properties. This includes welfare visits, property inspections, and accurate record-keeping in line with company procedures.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nSupporting Service Users:\n * Manage a caseload of Service Users.\n * Conduct dispersals, inductions, and welfare checks.\n * Signpost SUs to local services (e.g., healthcare, shops).\n * Arrange and support transport or relocation as needed.\n * Ensure the health, safety, and timely move-on of Service Users\nManaging Properties:\n * Conduct monthly inspections and arrange necessary maintenance.\n * Prepare properties for re-occupation or hand back to landlords.\n * Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.\n * Ensure minor repairs are completed and inventory is managed.\nRequired Skills:\n * Experience as a Housing Officer or similar role.\n * Awareness of diverse cultures and backgrounds.\n * Empathetic, adaptable, and resilient.\n * Strong problem-solving and communication skills.\n * Well-organised with effective planning abilities.\n * Able to work independently and as part of a team.\n * Full UK driving licence required.\nBenefits:\n * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\n * Health Membership\n * Life cover\n * 6-month probation period\n * 4% employer and 4% employee pension contribution\n * Laptop, phone, and other equipment as needed\n * Employee Assistance Programme\n * Referral scheme\nThe successful candidate will need to hold a valid UK driving licence and will be required to undergo a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC) check, in accordance with the responsibilities of the role.\nPlease contact Kerrie Collett on (phone number removed) to learn more, or submit your application today
