About the Role:Wates Property Services is seeking a skilled and proactive Resident Engineer to join our on-site team at the prestigious Bentall Centre in Kingston upon Thames. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile retail and commercial environment, supporting our client JLL in delivering exceptional facilities management services. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site Ensure all building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems, are operating efficiently Respond promptly to service requests and breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and visitors Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and site procedures What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role, ideally within a commercial or retail environment Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a wider facilities team What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work in a landmark location with a leading property services provider Ongoing training and development Supportive and collaborative working environment Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage.
