Part time 21 hours per week.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated,enthusiastic team player to work within the Rotherham 0-19 service supportingwork to improve infant feeding standards across the Rotherham Family Hubnetwork. As an integral part of the Rotherham Infant Feeding Team, you willsupport delivery of the infant feeding programme expectations of the FamilyHubs and start for life programme. This rewarding post will provide theopportunity to develop new skills and the chance to influence and shape localinfant feeding services.
Applications are welcome from experienced Community Practitionerswith excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability tomotivate and empower others. You will work closely with multiagency colleaguesto provide a range of services to support and promote breastfeeding across theRotherham Borough. You will have a good understanding of the UNICEF UK BabyFriendly standards and experience of delivering infant feeding support to ahigh standard.
Main duties of the job
1. The post holder will be a role model for highstandards in infant feeding support in line with the Baby Friendly standards,ensuring that infant feeding advice and care is based on current evidence,guidelines, and policies.
2. Working with the Breastfeeding Strategic lead to plan, implement and evaluatethe Unicef UK BFI accreditation process across the Family Hub network.
3. Deliver effective infant feeding training to a range of Health and Social Care professionals.
4. Participate in the planning, implementation and reporting of clinical audits.
5. Improving the quality and consistency of feeding information, advice andsupport available to Mothers.
6. Working collaboratively with multiagency agency partners to develop thebreastfeeding peer support service and support volunteers.
7. Effectively manage own time and prioritise workload in order to achieveagreed objectives and targets.
