To lead and manage Health & Safety compliance across the Air Bearings manufacturing site, ensuring the business meets all statutory and regulatory obligations. The role will take ownership of risk management, safety culture, compliance documentation and audit preparation, with additional responsibility for overseeing facilities‑related compliance contracts including fire, security and servicing arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
* Health & Safety Compliance
o Ensure full compliance with all current Health & Safety legislation.
o Develop, implement and review Health & Safety policies and procedures.
o Conduct and review risk assessments and hazard identification processes.
o Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory changes.
o Prepare documentation for inspections, audits and regulatory visits.
o Conduct regular workplace inspections.
o Monitor compliance performance and produce reports.
o Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
o Maintain accident and near‑miss records.
o Promote and embed a strong safety culture across the manufacturing site.
* Training & Safety Awareness
o Deliver toolbox talks.
o Conduct safety training sessions.
o Educate employees on safe equipment use and safe systems of work.
o Support ongoing competency and compliance training.
* Monitoring & Reporting
o Track H&S KPIs.
o Produce compliance reports for senior management.
o Maintain audit‑ready documentation at all times.
o Support external audits and inspections.
* Facilities Compliance Oversight
o Coordinate servicing contracts for:
+ Fire systems
+ Security systems
+ Emergency lighting
+ PAT testing
+ Statutory inspections
o Manage contractor RAMS and insurance documentation.
o Ensure facilities‑related compliance certificates are up to date.
o Support facilities maintenance where compliance risk is involved.
Essential
* Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
* Proven risk assessment experience.
* Experience preparing for audits and inspections.
* Incident investigation experience.
* Excellent report writing skills.
* Confident delivering training and toolbox talks.
Desirable
* NEBOSH (preferred)
* IOSH Managing Safely (minimum)
* Manufacturing environment experience
