Description

We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic residential support workers to join our growing, highly valued team based in Weldon. Our teams are professional parents who are nurturing and supportive, giving young people high levels of care and helping them achieve meaningful outcomes. The homes vary in size and provide therapeutic, EBD and complex trauma support services.
Role
* Contribute to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, reviewing and implementing them.
* Form effective relationships with young people, their families (when appropriate) and external agencies.
* Ensure the home is kept clean and tidy, adhering to the cleaning rota system and encouraging the young people to participate when suitable.
* Maintain and promote high‑quality records, as required, with supervision and advice from shift and management staff.
* Uphold and promote residential care to the high levels of professionalism expected by Esland and Ofsted.
* Support the educational and social development of each young person and assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programs.
* Meet the emotional and physical needs of our young people and maximise development opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (highly desirable) or willingness to attain this qualification once employed.
* Experience in a children’s home setting (highly desirable).
* Passion for nurturing young people.
* Flexibility to work 24‑48 hour shift patterns, including sleep‑in shifts (rota given in advance, typically 2 on 4 off).
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* All candidates must be over the age of 21 to comply with industry regulations.
