We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our team in Belong Wigan.
* As a care assistant, you will work together with other staff in the running of the household.
* You will aim to maintain high standards of care and service towards customers, relatives, visitors and other members of staff.
* You will be providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents.
* Demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for older people.
* Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
* Able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the household.
* Provide assistance, personal care, activities and companionship to residents
* Be alert to residents' needs, health and wellbeing
* Respect the residents' dignity and privacy
* Work with residents and their families to deliver tailored care to each individual
* Assist with mealtimes and safe moving
* Maintain accurate records for each resident
* Excellent communication and written skills.
* Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect.
* Previous experience working within an elderly care setting.
* Team player but able to work on your own initiative.
* Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home.
