To succeed in this role you must have an appropriate BSc and MSc. You must have significant experience in managing and delivering Biodiversity Net Gain projects across the UK, including biodiversity design and offsetting. Additionally, you must have experience of advising clients with biodiversity strategy development, including alignment with Science Based Targets (SBT) for Nature and Task Force for Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD).

As our new Nature Positive Manager, you will be part of our Environment and Health division, with oversight of a range of innovative biodiversity projects for global manufacturing, industrial and extractives businesses, and UK infrastructure and development projects.
Projects relating to corporate biodiversity strategy will vary across ecosystems, climates and geographies, and sectors. You will join a positive, progressive team delivering projects that use a range of science-based metrics and deliver nature-based solutions. You will have a great opportunity to innovate and be at the forefront of biodiversity practice. Also, play a part in growing the Ecosystem Solutions team and positively contributing to the Ramboll Biodiversity and Ecosystems Strategy (https://www.ramboll.com/en-gb/biodiversity-and-ecosystems ).
Your key tasks and responsibilities:
* Technical expert on Biodiversity Net Gain, using the Natural England Biodiversity Metric and other metrics
* Knowledge of voluntary biodiversity reporting initiatives, such as SBTN, TNFD, GRI, and the mandatory Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (Biodiversity & Ecosystems)
* Using your expertise to innovate and develop novel biodiversity services
* Business development with global clients to support and deliver their Nature Positive ambitions
* Support the wider team of ecologists and biodiversity managers by providing technical input and review
* Maintaining skills and knowledge to remain at the cutting edge of biodiversity practice
* Work across multidisciplinary teams and support the integration of biodiversity services across Ramboll in support of our Partner for Sustainable Change ambitions (https://www.ramboll.com/en-gb )
* Main point of contact with Ramboll project managers, clients, partner organisations and sub-consultants
* Fee proposal preparation and assisting with client relationship management
* Line management of junior ecology and biodiversity consultants
* Provide input to resource planning
* Carrying out additional duties as may reasonably be required in this role
* Technical specialist advice on Biodiversity Net Gain projects and proposals
* Successful collaborator with other teams in Ramboll, such as Impact Assessment, Architecture and Climate
* Successful delivery of major biodiversity strategy projects
* Key client contact and member of the European Biodiversity & Ecosystems Team
* Development of case studies and business development materials for biodiversity marketing
* Key member in delivery of the Ecosystem Solutions business plan and input to the development of future plans

* Ability to effectively engage with business leaders and colleagues in all geographies
* Capable of producing clear and concise deliverables to a high technical standard

* Good knowledge of relevant environmental/ecology legislation
* An understanding of the UK planning system in relation to development and the integration of ecology
* Proficient user of MS Office software
* Full clean UK driving licence, preferable
