About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Sheet Metal Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to work on innovative projects and develop a strong foundation in sheet metal product design, manufacturing processes, and CAD technologies. You will assist in designing and developing sheet metal components and assemblies for a variety of applications, working closely with experienced engineers, production teams, and clients to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and meet project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of sheet metal parts and assemblies using Solidworks. Produce 3D models for fabrication. Completing full manufacturing drawings (BOM, cutting lists, folding drawings) Work closely with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective. Interpret technical specifications & customer sketches. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design, quality, and production efficiency. Maintain accurate design documentation and ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards. Requirements: Essential: Strong understanding of engineering principles and mechanical design. Familiarity with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks). Basic knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication methods, and design for manufacturing (DFM). Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a practical engineering environment. Desirable: Internship or academic project experience related to sheet metal or mechanical design. Exposure to manufacturing environments or production processes.
