About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who enjoys working in racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will influence our performance on the track and the development of autonomous motorsports.
The position is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel for testing and racing events. Flexibility with work hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Management: Setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and electric vehicles.
* Mechanical Tasks: Disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly to ensure safety and performance.
Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during races, including pit stops, fueling, and setup adjustments.
Logistics: Coordinate vehicle transport across Europe and internationally, working with the Technical Director.
Workshop Maintenance: Maintain an organized and efficient workshop environment.
Safety: Follow safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
* Vehicle Systems Knowledge: High-performance vehicle systems, suspension, tires, and optimization.
* Electronics: Basic understanding of advanced electronic systems, MoTeC systems experience preferred.
* Racing Experience: At least 3 years in a professional racing environment.
* Education: Diploma or certification in automotive or mechanical engineering.
* Learning Orientation: Interest in autonomous driving tech and innovation.
* Team Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Driver's License: Valid license required.
