MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Plant Manager for a Energy Recovery Facility based near Oxford.
As the Plant Manager, you will have full responsibility for the Energy Recovery Facility (ERF), leading a committed team toward operational excellence. Your primary focus will be to embed safety, predictability, reliability, and availability into every decision and action. You'll cultivate a strong culture of ownership and accountability, championing a safety-first approach in all aspects of the operation.
As Plant Manager you will be responsible for:
Lead the ERF site team, promoting a strong safety-first culture.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
Achieve and report on targets for plant availability, waste throughput, and energy production.
Drive a culture of performance, continuous improvement, and staff development.
Manage site financials, including P&L ownership, budgeting, and cost control.
Align operational practices with industry best standards and implement improvements.
Maintain legal and regulatory compliance.
To be considered for this role you should have:
Proven track record of leading large technical teams or departments at a senior management level.
Strong financial acumen, with hands-on experience managing P&L, budgeting, and financial performance.
Demonstrated ability to implement and manage corporate management systems effectively.
Senior leadership experience within power generation or a comparable process-driven environment.
Extensive experience in contract management, including negotiation, execution, and performance oversight.
