Location Miskin, South Wales
Salary £30,000 - £35,000 Depending on experience
Renishaw is seeking to recruit a Materials Controller to support production at our Miskin site. This role will cover all aspects of material planning and stock control required to support day to day production schedules.
Key responsibilities
* Provide material control support for the assembly management team to ensure departmental plans are met.
* Manufacturing System maintenance including locations management, routine stock counting, transit booking, work in progress monitoring and job booking.
* Routine progressing of parts supply, shortages on jobs, and kitting jobs to assembly cells.
* Performing order interrogation to ascertain where orders are projecting late and where the root cause is due to material supply.
* Provide logistical support for the movement of goods around manufacturing sites.
Key requirements
Essential requirements
* Excellent level of computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* An analytical approach and meticulous attention to detail.
Desirable requirements
* Educated to A level (or equivalent) standard, supported by GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science at grades A‑C.
* An understanding of resource management systems including MRP or ERP.
* Previous experience with stock control processes.
Person specification
The successful applicant will be self-motivated and capable of completing tasks on time to the highest standard. The individual will be a team player with excellent problem solving and communication skills, a flexible attitude and an ability to work under pressure.
