JOB TITLE: Support Worker - Learning Disability
LOCATION: Beechway House, L'Derry
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Various posts available, including Permanent/Temporary, Part-Time/Full-Time for Beechway House
Beechway House is a supported living accommodation providing care and support for 16 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Located in the Waterside area of Derry ~Londonderry, it offers 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and participate in daily decision-making.
Essential Criteria
* QCF/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, and 6 months experience in a care/support role, with previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues.
* Must be registered with NISCC or achieve registration within 6 months if new to the sector.
* Alternatively, 1 year experience in a care/support role with relevant experience.
* Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications.
* Informal care/support experience, including caring at home or voluntary work, is acceptable.
* This is a regulated post and requires a satisfactory Access NI check and proof of right to work in the UK. Apex does not sponsor work visas.
