Project Manager – Generation Operations
Full Time, 12 Month FTC
Location: Selby or Glasgow – Hybrid
Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

About the Role
As a Project Manager within the Generation Business, you will play a crucial role in delivering multi-disciplinary and cross-functional projects on time, within budget, and according to scope, all while adhering to our new Delivery Framework.
You’ll be part of an established team that provides Secretariat, Delivery, and PMO Services in an operational environment. This means you’ll engage in both change delivery and critical BAU activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Successfully managing multiple projects and small programmes.
* Working independently while navigating some levels of ambiguity.
* Promoting positive collaboration and providing leadership to cross-functional project teams.
* Communicating confidently and effectively with Senior Management, including constructive challenges and escalations when necessary.
* Adapting to various project types, including strategic, regulatory, commercial, IT-enabled, technical, and operational changes.
Who We’re Looking For
You are an ideal candidate if you:
* Hold a degree and a professional qualification in Project/Programme Management (e.g., APM PMQ, PRINCE2, MSP).
* Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Possess detailed knowledge of project management methodologies and standard artefacts such as RAIDs and Project Management Plans.
* Can establish effective governance and project structures.
* Have relevant industry experience (power, utilities, construction) and a proven track record of delivering multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Excel in communication and collaboration, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to achieve objectives.
