Salary: £64,200 - £71,300 plus up to 12% annual bonus
Hours: 37.5
We are looking for an experienced Senior Category Manager to join our team, ideally with experience within ICT and Technology channels. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing category strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, and delivering value through effective procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement category strategies to optimise value and innovation.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes within the assigned categories.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
CIPS qualification or equivalent is essential.
Certification in the UK's Procurement Act 2023 and its implications for public sector tendering is essential.
Proven experience in a similar role within procurement and supply chain management.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
