We are TEF rated Silver, with a Good Ofsted rating.\nThe Role:\nDo you have experience in teaching Construction Built Environment in Further Education and are you looking for a new challenge as a Senior Lecturer (curriculum lead)?\nDo you want to join a team delivering construction courses leading students to become architects, quantity surveyors, civil engineers, architectural technicians, construction managers and building services engineers? University College Birmingham's School of Engineering, Digital and Sustainable Construction launched in September 2022 a cutting-edge facility right in the heart of Birmingham.
In November 2023, we opened James Cond Sustainable Construction Centre to develop our construction trade courses. Using only the best resources and high-tech kit in the sector, you will have one of the most inspiring facilities to work in alongside outstanding academic support from across the sector.\nWe are looking to recruit a highly motivated Senior Lecturer (curriculum lead) to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of leading a construction built environment (CBE) team in an FE setting or wanting to progress onto leading a team.\nThe CBE department at UCB now consists of 28 level 2, 100 level 3 and 50 T level students with 6 staff covering all the key disciplines.
Courses delivered are Pearson CBE and T level Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction.\nYou will work with the Head of Department and other Senior Lecturers to ensure our delivery is world class and that we produce work-ready students for employment or career progression. You will take a leading role in developing courses and maintaining the quality of the courses being delivered.\nThe ideal candidate for this role will be committed to self-development and keeping up to date with industry innovation.
