Transport Manager Family-run Quarry Location: County Armagh Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am 5:00pm Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Transport manager to oversee the transport operations at our family-run quarry in County Armagh. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a strong working knowledge of the local area. This role will involve coordinating the logistics for the delivery of aggregates, concrete, and blocks, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service & Communication: Answer customer calls, take orders, and address inquiries related to our aggregates, concrete, and block products. Provide clear, professional, and friendly communication with customers, ensuring a positive experience and high customer satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery scheduling, transport issues, and product queries. Logistics Coordination: Organise and manage delivery schedules for aggregates, concrete, and blocks, ensuring that each order is delivered on-time and in-line with customer specifications. Work closely with internal staff and drivers to ensure smooth execution of deliveries. Leverage knowledge of County Armagh and surrounding areas to effectively assign drivers to deliveries. Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in transport management, logistics, or a related role (ideally within the construction or quarrying industries). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively under pressure. Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. Problem-solving skills with the ability to find practical solutions in a fast-paced environment. In-depth knowledge of County Armaghs road network and surrounding areas is highly preferred.
