Overview
Asset Management Support Officer – up to 6 months FTC. The Environment Agency manages flood risk assets and supports river maintenance across Hertfordshire and North London. You will help manage asset data, support refurbishment or replacement projects, and assist with new flood risk management assets. You may be required to respond to incidents as part of an incident role, with full training and potential additional pay and alternative working arrangements.

Responsibilities
* Help inspect, repair, maintain and manage flood risk assets such as flood walls, embankments and flood storage areas.
* Manage asset data to ensure high quality information to inform investment decisions and asset management activities.
* Support projects delivering refurbishment, replacement or new flood risk management assets and help ensure long-term, safe solutions.
* Communicate effectively with internal colleagues, external organisations and customers requiring help or information.
* Contribute to incident response and business continuity during incidents (incumbent duties may attract additional payment).
Experience and Skills (Qualifications)
* Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; GIS experience is advantageous but not essential (training provided).
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
* Good problem-solver with initiative and data/evidence-based decision-making.
* Willingness to learn and develop.
