Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner based at University Hospital Ayr.

What you will do:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our multidisciplinary team as we build a new model of care and service provision within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. As an Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for clinical assessment, be able to initiate investigations and undertake appropriate front line interventions for Acute Medical patients presenting to our purpose built Combined Assessment Units. Depending on existing qualifications you will be provided with a bespoke programme of training during your initial period of employment, specifically around managing the unwell adult, physical health assessment, non-medical prescribing, assessing emergency presentations and advanced life support. Our Combined Assessment Units hosts a dynamic teams and offers Consultant/CNM led mentorship based on a comprehensive competency framework. You will undertake a funded programme of ongoing professional development. We aim to foster creativity and innovation helping you to reach your full potential and develop your skills in providing high quality Acute Services and maintaining the 4 pillars of advanced practice.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Experience within an appropriate acute clinical environment is essential together with knowledge and training equivalent to degree level. Attainment of Assessment and Decision-making in Advanced Practice module and/or Non-medical Prescribing would be highly desirable but opportunities for development would be offered, you must be willing to develop to Post Grad Diploma level as a minimum. You will also demonstrate experience of developing and delivering innovative and creative solutions to underpin excellent service delivery.
