Mon–Thu 08:00–16:45 | Fri 08:00–14:00
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Role Overview
We are seeking an Electron Beam (EB) Welding Technician to produce high-quality precision welds using advanced EB welding equipment. You will work to engineering drawings and strict quality standards, supporting the manufacture of high-value components in a controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor EB welding machines (high/low vacuum)
Prepare and align components; select and adjust welding parameters
Perform welds in line with SOPs, drawings, and quality requirements
Complete production and quality documentation accurately
Inspect weld quality and report any defects or deviations
Carry out routine machine maintenance and follow all safety procedures
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Experience in precision welding (EB, laser, or similar)
Ability to read engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Comfortable working to SOPs with full traceability
Desirable:
EB welding certification or formal training
Experience with automated welding systems
