Senior ETRM Technical (Python) Solutions Consultant – £120-160k Basic
Global leading, cloud-native, SaaS based ETRM software business seeks 2 x Senior ETRM Technical (Python) Solutions Consultants / PreSales Consultants to join their European (London) and US businesses (New York City or Houston). Please note that strong Python skills are essential for this role.
The company
You’ll join a cutting edge ETRM software business, who provide a full end-to-end ETRM solution competing with Endur, Allegro, RightAngle and other large global ETRM systems, but also providing individual ETRM modules (especially in risk management) to help optimize these other ETRM systems. Their solution provides an integrated development and operating platform that enables quants and software engineers to collaboratively develop and continuously deploy business solutions.
Salary:
* Europe (London based): £120-160k basic + 30% bonus + benefits
* US (New York or Houston based): $160-220k basic + 30% bonus + benefits
The role:
* Working directly with the Sales team to present Energy Trading & Risk Management solutions/proposals to prospective energy/commodity trading clients
* You will be a subject matter expert and technical advisor to the sales organisation, and to prospective clients.
* Leading deeper technical workshops with prospects, to help showcase how our capabilities can help deliver flexible solutions for their needs.
* Performing live demonstration of custom solutions to prospective clients.
* You will be responsible for custom development work required to deliver targeted demonstrations of product capabilities to fit applicable use-cases.
Key requirements sought:
* Several years experience as a software developer or engineering manager responsible for building energy trading risk management systems
* 2+ years’ experience developing in Python - essential
* Familiarity and experience with risk management for portfolios of Commodities futures, derivatives (including options), and physical transactions; familiarity and experience with energy products such as Oil, Power, Natural Gas and Renewable Energy Certificates
* Knowledge and understanding of the typical technology infrastructure, functional dependencies and business requirements of major institutions
* Must be based in London, New York or Houston and willing to visit prospect offices as required, including international travel
* Must hold a UK or US passport, or a visa allowing you to live and work in the UK or US without any visa sponsorship needed
