We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering company in north Milton Keynes for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their R&D team. This role involves developing new products from concept to production, supporting bespoke customer projects, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings (SolidWorks).
• Support new product development, testing, and prototype builds.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations.
• Manage project documentation, specifications, BOMs, and reports.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams.
Essential Skills:
• Mechanical engineering design experience.
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitask environment.
Desirable:
• Experience with plastic moulding, CNC machining, casting, or metal forming.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks PDM.
• Exposure to products taken from concept to production.
