Job title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Clockhouse Children’s Home – Burnley
Hours: 40.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,500 - £34,100 (depending on experience and qualifications) *
Earnings: £35,675 - £39,275 (based on 10 sleep ins per month)
Shift Pattern: 1 shift on, 2 shifts off
Shift Times: 8am – 11 pm followed by a sleep
Annual Leave Entitlement: 251.1 hours
Hexagon Care Services are the largest privately owned provider of residential childcare in the country. We have over 50 Children’s Homes, 5 Crisis Intervention services, and 14 schools across England.
We are seeking to appoint Senior Residential Support Workers for our children’s homes. This is a great opportunity for someone to join our children’s home, learning from an experienced, skilled management team of like-minded individuals who share a passion for giving the children in care the very best support.
No two days will be the same supporting young people to achieve their very best. You will have a varied array of tasks whilst on shift; everything from cooking & cleaning, taking part in activities and games, taking Young People out to appointments/meetings, managing challenging behaviours, or even sitting and watching TV with the Young People.
We aim to create a positive, relaxed home environment where the young people feel safe, supported & listened to. You will be inducted by our industry leading, award winning learning & development team, and guided in your role by more senior staff members, including psychologists/therapy team to establish appropriate boundaries, manage behaviours effectively and nurture the young people in your care towards positive futures.
1. Desirable: QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare/Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce (not essential, Hexagon will pay for the new level 4 Diploma if required)
2. Essential: Full UK driving licence
3. Essential: Minimum of 12 months experience working specifically in a residential home for children, we cannot consider candidates with a background of adult care, domiciliary care, school/EYFS experience

*Please note the above figures are based on holding an equivalent qualification. If you do not have this qualification but have the 12+ months experience working specifically in a children's home, please do get in contact with us.

This is a permanent position, if you have right to work but with an expiry date, we are more than welcome to receive your application but please note you would only be eligible for an interim contract linked to your RTW expiry.
