Mencap is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Waking Night Support Worker on a part-time, permanent basis in Borehamwood.
In this role, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities. You will support a diverse group of individuals, each with unique needs and abilities, providing both practical assistance and emotional support throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support with daily living activities
* Offer consistent emotional reassurance and care
* Promote independence and dignity at all times
What We Are Looking For:
* A genuine passion for supporting others
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* A flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends and holidays
* A positive, empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities
Contract Details:
* Part-time: 30 hours per week
Shift Pattern:
* Waking night shifts between 10:00pm and 7:00am
* Services operate 24 hours a day; rotas are provided at least four weeks in advance to support work-life balance
