Overview
Senior Software Engineer for hybrid IT role with my client's offices based in Southampton.
My client is looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer with excellent .NET C# developer skills. The Technology function is responsible for the delivery of business and technology change including the provision of robust infrastructure and IT service operations. The Technology function brings technology-enabled innovation to market by developing relevant, integrated and optimised solutions that are scalable, commercially viable and deliver long-term value aligned to the business strategy. Working as a strategic partner to the business the aim of the department is to build informed and robust future-orientated technology and skills capabilities that create the right environment.
Responsibilities
* Take business requirements and design, implement and produce high quality end-to-end products.
* Collaborate with other team members to produce high-quality software solutions and follow established development practices.
* Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs.
* Integrate with React, Next.js and Ionic applications.
* Develop resilient services to provide API services to front-end systems.
* Deliver solutions via disciplined and controlled methods (CI/CD) through all environments to live.
* Deliver solutions using Azure DevOps pipelines and support services.
* Work in a Scrum/Agile environment.
* Design and develop reusable and testable microservices.
* Build secure databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
Qualifications and Skills
* Technical expertise in Microsoft .NET and .NET Core.
* Experience designing, developing and maintaining RESTful back-end services.
* Expertise in standard patterns to support unit testing tooling and decoupling of code.
* Experience delivering technology solutions through CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
* Appreciation of Single Page Applications: React, Next.js.
* Knowledge of secure database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server.
Note: This role is hybrid. Candidates need to be able to work from the Southampton head office 2 days a week.
