AESC is a world-leading Lithium Ion Battery manufacturer in North East England. We are expanding to support the development and operation of a new, innovative mass manufacturing Gigafactory. This is a fantastic chance to join a burgeoning industry.
Our ambitious expansion plans include our IT Graduate program, designed to prepare you for future IT roles. We aim to help you realize your potential, fostering innovation and enhancing the capability, resilience, and productivity of our systems.
You will be integrated into the IT team from day one, liaising with all departments, and responsible for delivering results to support business growth. Your involvement will include day-to-day support operations and participation in the new plant project and start-up.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent the IT department from initial project phases through to the mass production of the Gigafactory.
* Support the Global ERP & MES teams with system configuration and rollout.
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team, utilizing skills in:
* Application development and programming in C#, Java, ASP.NET
* Database development with Oracle and MSSQL
* Middleware application development
* Creating and managing technical documentation
* Exercising strong communication skills
* Applying problem-solving and analytical thinking
Experience and Qualifications Required
* Minimum of a 2.1 degree in Bachelor’s or Master’s, with preferred subjects including Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or Applied Business Computing.
* Highly motivated graduates passionate about IT, innovation, and technology, eager to learn from industry experts.
* Candidates who can take responsibility, gain hands-on experience, and are strong communicators.
* Good understanding of computing principles, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
