Job title: Project Engineer – Exterior CoC

We are looking for a Project Engineer – Exterior CoC to join our client’s team and support the delivery of a diverse range of exterior accessories, including Exterior Trim, Roof Carrying, Functional Accessories, and Exterior Protection.
Working closely with Subject Matter Experts, you will translate initial programme requirements into robust technical assumptions and lead the development and delivery of accessory commodities across multiple projects. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of manufacturing technologies and suppliers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, making it ideal for self-motivated, dynamic engineers who enjoy working across multiple commodities and programmes.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Programme and Design teams in early development stages to generate concepts and lead them through to launch.
* Develop RFQ cost packs and support supplier sourcing activities.
* Generate and maintain commodity plans, managing supplier performance and delivery.
* Produce IPL technical and cost assumptions and manage these throughout the programme lifecycle.
* Identify technical solutions and suitable suppliers.
* Support design, development and release of Exterior CoC commodities.
* Plan and execute test and validation activities.
* Deliver ESO and PSW requirements.
* Provide launch support to ensure robust delivery into production.
Experience
Essential:
* Degree in Engineering or comparable qualification.
* Experience in component/system delivery and development of Body and Trim systems.
* Knowledge of Digi-Buck, Vis-Mock-up, 3DLive.
* Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels.
* Understanding of Agile methodology.
* Knowledge of PCDS and CCDS processes.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with engineering release and change management systems.
* Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Experience with problem-solving tools and ability to lead resolution activities.
* Experience with WERS, AIMS, RMDV, APQP and PSW processes.
