HRGO Recruitment are recruiting for waste picking operative to work in a busy Waste Plant within the Knottingley WF11 area.
As a Recycling Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking and sorting refuse for recycling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sorting Waste: Manually pick and sort recyclable materials from a moving conveyor belt.
* Quality Control: Ensure non-recyclable materials are removed and sorted correctly.
* Equipment Operation: Operate machinery to compact and bale recyclable materials.
* Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on recycling equipment.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of materials sorted and processed.
* Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow.
Skills and Attributes:
* Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor and work on your feet for extended periods.
* Attention to Detail: Precision in sorting and identifying recyclable materials.
* Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
