🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
As a TEMPEST Systems Engineer, you will:
TEMPEST & EMSEC Engineering
* Support the design, development, and integration of TEMPEST‑compliant systems.
* Conduct risk assessments and emission security analyses across hardware, installations, and platforms.
* Produce and maintain control plans, compliance documents, and assurance evidence.
* Identify vulnerabilities related to compromising electromagnetic emanations and recommend mitigation strategies.
Systems Engineering
* Contribute to system requirements related to emission security.
* Participate in architecture reviews and guide engineering teams in secure design principles.
* Work closely with hardware, software, and infrastructure engineers on secure system integration.
* Support verification and validation activities to ensure compliance.
Testing & Compliance
* Support TEMPEST testing and evaluation activities.
* Liaise with accredited test facilities and review technical outputs.
* Produce clear compliance reports, test reviews, and certification evidence.
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Work alongside multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
* Contribute technical expertise in design reviews and engineering governance forums.
* Engage with customers, partners, and assurance bodies as required.
📘 What You’ll Bring
Essential Experience
* Experience in TEMPEST, EMSEC, or electromagnetic security engineering.
* Understanding of compromising emanations and emission security principles.
* Familiarity with systems engineering processes and lifecycle management.
* Strong problem‑solving, analysis, and documentation skills.
* Experience producing technical compliance or assurance evidence.
Desirable
* Expertise in secure communications, mission systems, or intelligence platforms.
* Understanding of UK/NATO TEMPEST standards.
* Knowledge of EMC/EMI testing.
* Experience within large defence organisations or major engineering primes.

🎓 Education & Clearance
* Degree in Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or similar.
* Ability to hold or obtain Highest level clearance.
