As evidenced by the recent CIPFA financial management review, we are a highly performing finance team that provides excellent support to managers across the organisation. We have one role in our Financial Accounting team providing technical advice and guidance across the team and supporting with financial year end activities. The other role is in our Financial Management section providing technical advice and guidance on PFI schemes and pensions.

We are looking for an individual who is CCAB qualified, has sound knowledge of local authority finance and experience of providing support to those responsible for managing financial resources. Experience of local authority PFI schemes and / or pensions would be beneficial but is not essential. You will have excellent communication and organisation skills and have experience at presenting complex financial information in user friendly formats. The full job person specification lists the essential skills and knowledge we are looking for in this role.
