Synergi is proud to be working with a leading manufacturing company in Middlesex, currently seeking a skilled Senior Toolmaker to join their dynamic and experienced team.This is an excellent opportunity to work on a busy industrial site equipped with a wide range of machinery, where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture tooling as per Tool Order Requests using current design drawings.
* Interpret and work to BS 308 drawing standards and associated British Standards.
* Confidently use precision measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, slip gauges, pin/thread gauges, and shadow graphs.
* Carry out maintenance, repair, and improvements on mould and press tooling.
* Inspect and test tooling to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Adhere to all relevant work instructions and health & safety regulations.
* Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification.
* Current Abrasive Wheels Regulations certificate.
* Experience with laser welding (desirable).
* Familiarity with modern moulding and manufacturing processes.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
