A leading building services contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a major healthcare project in Bournemouth.

Key Responsibilities Lead the mechanical delivery of a healthcare project from pre-construction through to handover.
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure programme, quality, and cost targets are met.
Oversee mechanical installation works including HVAC, medical gases, public health systems, and associated plant.
Ensure full compliance with NEC contract requirements, including documentation, early warnings, and change management.
Coordinate closely with clinical stakeholders, design teams, and other disciplines to maintain operational continuity and safety.
Produce and maintain project documentation: RAMS, progress reports, commissioning plans, O&M information.
Drive risk management, quality assurance, and health & safety standards across the project.
Support commercial teams with valuations, variations, and forecasting.
Attend site meetings, client briefings, and progress reviews.
Essential Experience & Skills Proven track record as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services.
Healthcare project experience (NHS or private healthcare) with strong understanding of clinical environments and compliance requirements.
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts .
Ability to manage complex mechanical packages and multiple subcontractors.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services systems.
Competent with project planning, reporting, and commercial awareness.
Desirable Chartered or working toward chartership (CIBSE, IMechE).
Experience with commissioning management.
Knowledge of HTMs and HBNs.
