The Role
• Lead audits for local government, NHS, and central bodies, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Develop strong client relationships, acting as a key contact for query resolution
• Oversee audit delivery to agreed timescales, maintaining high standards and quality
• Mentor and support audit assistants and seniors, providing feedback and guidance during fieldwork
What You'll Need
• ACA / ACCA / CA professional qualification (or equivalent)
• Proven experience auditing publicly funded bodies (local authorities, NHS, central government)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and coach junior staff
• In-depth technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), IFRS, and the Companies Act
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of managing client communications effectively
