Senior Support Worker – Location: Longhope in the Forest of Dean
Pay rate from £13.84 per hour
Contract: 37.5 hrs
Typical Shifts are: Monday to Sunday 2 x 8am - 20:00 and 1 x 07:30 - 2100

About the Role
Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to lead our residential service in Longhope. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!
As a Senior Support Worker you’ll help people to gain more independence in their daily lives, while assisting the Manager with day‑to‑day supervision and management of the service. You will allocate shifts, book training, induct new colleagues, support with supervision, order medication, and ensure the people we support can manage their finances.
This is an amazing role for someone who looks to really make a difference, whether that’s helping our colleagues grow in confidence or the people we support gain independence to meet their goals.
Responsibilities
* Support people to gain independence in daily life
* Assist the Manager with day‑to‑day supervision and management of the service
* Allocate shifts, organise training, induct new colleagues
* Support with supervision, order medication, and help manage finances
* Maintain focus on resident satisfaction and well‑being
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker
* Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
* Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress behaviour, mental health conditions, autism, and trauma survivors
* Commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those you support
