Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant Location: Nottingham Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time Are you passionate about supporting pupils to overcome behavioural challenges and thrive in school? GSL Education are looking for compassionate and skilled Behaviour Support Assistants to join primary and secondary schools in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact by helping pupils develop self-regulation, confidence, and social skills. Role Overview: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional difficulties. You will assist in creating a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and wellbeing. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant: Support pupils in managing their behaviour and developing positive social skills. Assist in implementing behaviour management plans and strategies. Work one-to-one or with small groups to provide targeted support. Help maintain a calm and structured classroom environment. Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies as needed. Record observations and provide feedback on pupil progress. Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or social challenges is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
