GSL Education are looking for compassionate and skilled Behaviour Support Assistants to join primary and secondary schools in Nottingham. Role Overview: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional difficulties. You will assist in creating a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and wellbeing. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant: Support pupils in managing their behaviour and developing positive social skills. Assist in implementing behaviour management plans and strategies. Work one-to-one or with small groups to provide targeted support. Help maintain a calm and structured classroom environment. Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies as needed. Record observations and provide feedback on pupil progress. Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or social challenges is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
